John Shaw, founder and owner of JD Shaw Furniture, grew up in northern Iowa on a farm. Throughout the years i have been successful at several different endeavors. About fifteen years ago i decided to expand on my love of woodworking, starting with being a home contractor in Omaha. i quickly found that building the cabinets for the homes was my true love. From that JD Shaw Furniture evolved and today i have developed several different lines of furniture, each piece handcrafted of solid wood with heirloom quality and also each cabinet order is custom designed to the specific wants and needs of my customer.
​   IN THE FALL OF 2013 i DEVELOPED AML LEUKEMIA AND HAD TO QUIT PRODUCING FURNITURE FOR hOMEMAKERS. i HAVE RECOVERED BUT AM NOT CAPABLE OF MASS MAKING OF ALL THE FURNITURE THAT i HAD DEVELOPED FOR hOMEMAKERS.
